Space harmonization: the western face of Feng Shui
The world is vibration. Humans, stones or clouds are composed of atoms. If we observed through a powerful microscope we could distinguish the energy that flows in all creation. It is pure science. That is why Feng Shui is a millenary system that seeks the harmonization of spaces, because energy speaks to us even if it does not use words.
Feng Shui as the way to understand our reactions
It has all happened to us. We enter a place, it can be a house or a restaurant, a store or an office. Sometimes we want to leave immediately. Something bothers us, forces us to cross our arms and create any excuse to get out of there as soon as possible. On the other hand, there are places that make us feel like in our own home.
They are cozy places that invite openness and balance. Why does that happen? Could it be that we are in a bad mood? Or is it something else, real and invisible energies that we can perceive?
Sometimes it is enough to move the angle of the furniture or the bed to obtain amazing results. Sometimes the actions to be taken are bigger, require more effort or impulse.
The five elements of Feng Shui
According to Feng Shui guidelines, there are five elements present on the planet. Each one possesses unique properties and if they are combined through a balance they have the capacity to improve a space, even radically. The elements are wood, earth, metal, fire and water.
The goal of Feng Shui is not to eliminate the dark side of the universe, simply to balance it. Polarity is inherent to life: night and day, inside and outside, sound and silence. What this philosophy originated in the Far East seeks, is to introduce changes or adjustments in everyday life to flow more optimally with the environment.
Your home may need some Feng Shui
The importance of Feng Shui does not remain in a material realm, but it can have great effects on the emotions and on mental or physical health. There are people who suffer from depression or anxiety disorders, and although solving them with health experts is fundamental, Feng Shui may have a bigger role than we would expect.
Do the experiment: the next time you enter your home, pay close attention to the space. What are you feeling? Peace and tranquility? Anxiety and nervousness? Fatigue and sadness? Vitality and joy? No answer is correct. Perhaps your emotional burdens are so intense that it is difficult for you to recognize the difference between what you feel and the information you receive from space. In any case observe, feel, analyze. Maybe Feng Shui is just what you needed.
